Home Studies

An adoption home study is required by virtually every state in the United States and every country. It is a written, comprehensive assessment of the adoptive family as well as an evaluation of the physical environment the prospective adopted child will inhabit. The home study evaluation is conducted by a certified or licensed Social Worker.

Sharon Mink, founder of Family Connections, is available for home studies during traditional and non-traditional hours. In most instances, Sharon is available on short notice and can help adoptive parents begin the adoption process.
